WELCOME TO RR WILSON ART!

Hi.  I’m Rainn Wilson.  The actor.

My dad, Robert Wilson, and I both love art and started this website together.  Hope you enjoy checking it out.

My dad is a terrific painter of abstract art and instilled in me a love of the craft from a very young age.  Growing up, his rich, colorful oil canvases covered the walls of our house, making it a playground of painting.  The smell of turpentine and gesso filled his work studio and sparked for me some of my fondest childhood memories.  He taught me a great deal about modern artists and art history on our many ventures to museums and galleries.

For years we talked about working together in some way to buy and sell and promote visual art.  And now we are!

For us, starting this website is a dream come true and a labor of love as well as a business venture.  You see my dad has a knack for finding works of art and the works of artists that are exciting and special.  For years he’s been collecting some small paintings and lithographs of contemporary masters that he’s picked up at estate sales, auctions and antique stores.  We thought, why not try and sell some of these for a modest profit as well as turn people on to the catalogues of contemporary artists that inspire us?

Write to my dad, (not for autograph requests, please :) and ask him any question you might have about the artists we represent or the pieces for sale.  He’s a wise and nice dude.  We have tons of great first edition books for sale and do book searches as well.
